Cycling through Copenhagen.

You can visit Copenhagen in many different ways, but for me the bike tour is definitely the best option to see the city. The capital of Denmark is a paradise for cyclists. Bike lanes are conceived almost like highways and the traffic is more orderly than in Amsterdam, where there is simply not so much space for wider paths.

Even if the weather conditions are tough, like during my stay, it's really worth to explore the city on a bicycle, along with the residents of Copenhagen. It's very simple, as almost all the hotels in the capital have bicycles for rent. I bet there's no better way to discover the beautiful Copenhagen with its colorful buildings and marvelous shops, hiding treasures of Danish craft and design.

Among lots of incredible places to see, some shouldn't be missed out no matter what. Take your time to wander around the Magstraede area, located in the oldest part of the city. If you're looking for a good lunch, head off to the Paper Island. This unique place is literally packed with bars and street food stands - you can get easily overwhelmed by the huge choice of Danish delicacies.

If you hesitate about exploring further parts of the city, I'd say go for it! Equipped with a bike you can go for a nice ride to the Superkilen park. This incredibly well designed urban space, covered with white lines is a true paradise for cyclists, skateboarders and... photographers! I could spend there the whole day, shooting and looking for different angles.

However, as much as I enjoyed that unique spot, there's so much more to admire in Copenhagen...

Next stop, Grundtvig's church. Inspired by Gothic architecture and made out of bricks, this church cannot but amaze with its pure lines, simple, geometric forms and bright interiors. Extremely high ceiling, the columns which rise up to pointed arches and total lack of ornamentation create un unusual and impressive appearance.

Only 5 days, but it felt like I've been in Copenhagen for much longer. There is such a good feeling about this city, kind people, excellent food and atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else. I'll be coming back to Copenhagen for sure.

Thank you VisitCopenhagen, you guys are the best :)
